Education Adventure Culture
FEZ-Berlin is the largest non-profit children, youth and family centre in Europe. We offer creative games, fun and recreation together with a multitude of unique activities in the fields of global learning, sustainable development, culture, ecology, technology, astronautics, educational play as well as international and multicultural youth work. All this takes place within the expansive 13.000 sqm indoor-area and the 100.000 sqm outdoor-area of FEZ-Berlin.
We invite our guests to join us and participate in the various activities in our swimming pool, our sports centre, our theatre hall and music auditorium, the art studio, the cinema, and the many attractive playgrounds on the location. Especially in the afternoon and evening about twenty associations supplement the variety of activities we have on offer.
Families can enjoy an attractive program in our FEZ weekend events. Whether an adventure of healthiness (“Abenteuer Gesundheit”), a first-day-of-school celebration (“Schultütenfest”), a family triathlon, or the kids and youngsters travel fair, there is always a new theme to the 50 weekend events in the open house of the FEZ.
The holidays are our highlight events. “FEZitty - the Capital City of the Children”, or “Hogwarts - school for magicians” have been named as the blockbusters among the holiday activities.
The FEZ is incorporated as an extracurricular education service into the programs of day-care centres and schools. Each year an estimated one million people visit the FEZ. The FEZ Berlin is run as a non-profit organisation of the Land Berlin. The main component part are the work with children, youth and families, a swim hall and outdoor pool as well as the Berlin State Music Academy.
